I LOVE Deli Slims! I have used them for every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner. They hold up great, even for a Sloppy Joe. Very tasty and not flat like some other “slims” I’ve tried (without naming names!!).
You can use these for hamburgers, breakfast sandwiches, you name it. I’ll be posting some recipes soon. Thanks, Calise & Sons for developing a great product!!

You all should really use these for your summer barbecues. Forget hamburger buns, these work even better! Your health-conscious guests will thank you for it!!

Here is a great recipe taken from Weight Watchers. It is prepared in under 30 minutes which means it’s great for a weeknight supper!

Pulled Chicken Sandwiches:

1/2 cup ketchup 1/8 tsp ground allspice
2 TBS packed brown sugar 1/8 tsp ground ginger
1 TBS yellow mustard 4 skinless boneless chicken thighs, 1 TBS apple cider vinegar trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 tsp chili powder 4 Calise Deli Slims (This is not listed
1/2 tsp ground cumin in the actual recipe which calls for
whole wheat bread toasted
12 bread and butter pickle slices

1. Stir the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, chili powder, cumin, allspice, and ginger together in a medium skillet; add the chicken and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer stirring occasionally, until the chicken is tender, 20-25 minutes
2. Remove from the heat and shred the chicken with 2 forks. Serve the chicken mixture between the Calise Deli Slims with the pickles on the side.

Variations:
I used leftover cooked rotisserie chicken for an even faster meal and I always double the sauce recipe, it’s THAT good.
I also tried this as a Sloppy Joe and sauteed some onion and ground turkey till brown, then added all the sauce ingredients. Just let it simmer for a few minutes and serve on the Calise Deli Slims!

Thank you for creating such a great product! It’s great knowing that a business that is 100 years old is still creating fresh ideas to keep your customers interested and HEALTHY!!! I would like to share a favorite recipe of mine..This time I used a CALISE deli slim instead of a high calorie piece of bread…I call them ” Caprese Slims”…Lightly toast a Calise Deli Slim in the toaster oven/toaster…Drizzle w/ Olive oil, then Place a sliced tomato, then top tomato w/ a piece of Mozzarella Cheese and garnish with Shredded basil. Season to your taste. I like to pepper and salt lightly. Place back into Toaster oven, or Oven until Cheese is slightly melted. Cool and then enjoy.. A great light appetizer , that is easy and healthy..ENJOY!

I love your new Deli Slims. Before they came out on the market I was buying the 100 calorie buns from (A—–)! I found them very doughie and hard. Your new Deli Slims are light and delicious and figure friendly. Keep up the good work!

I am already a huge fan of the Calise line, and when Deli Slims came out I was so pleased on how tasty they are! I agree that they are much better than the leading “flat” breads out there, so much more flavor. I am getting married in May and will be serving the Deli Thins to my guests (we are having a cook out!) I am so glad Calise came out with such a wonderful product! I will be defintly recommending the Slims to everyone I know!

Keep up the great work!

I have been buying Calise rolls and buns for a while but I just discovered your new Whole Grain White Deli Slims (best invention since slice bread). Seriously, those Deli Slims are perfect, not too thick and make a delicious sandwich. They are going to be a hit!

Finally!!! I just found your Deli Slims today, and I am thrilled!! I have been wondering why someone hadn`t developed such needed “sandwich covers”. I have been slicing regular hamburg rolls into four pieces; very unsatisfactory. Kudos and thanks to the “inventor”.
